They say "At Every turn, there's something New to see" and it is true. There are many trails to explore. The Desert Discovery Trail is the Garden's main trail where you'll learn the unique characteristics of desert plants around the world. The Plants & People of the Sonaran Desert Trail explores the many uses of desert plants for food, contruction, tools, basket-making and more. The Sonoran Desert Trail features dramatic vistas of distant mountains. The Center for Desert Living Trail shows how to live in harmoney with the desert with tips on desert landscaping, gardening and conservation. The Harriet K. Maxwell Desert Wildflower Trail shows how wildflowers attract hummingbirds and butterflies with beauty, color and diversity.

The Desert Botanical Garden has one of the world's finest collections of desert flora. Over 139 species of rare and endangered species can be viewed at the Garden. It is one of only 44 botanical gardens acredited by the American Association of Museums.

The Desert Botanical Garden is located on 145 acres in the midst of the red rock buttes of Papago Park near the cities of Scottsdale and Tempe.  It is open seven days a week, year round except for July 4th and December 25th.
