Palo Verde TrailPalo Verde Trail Average User Rating: (0 votes, add your vote or comments) ![]() Photo by: David Robertson Palo Verde Trail is an easy trail with elevation gain around 100 feet. The trail is 3.8 to 4.7 miles in length and has light usage. Directions to trail: Take Scottsdale Road north passing the Boulders. Scottsdale Road becomes Tom Darlington. Continue through Carefree and turn right onto Cave Creek Road. Follow Cave Creek Road to the turnoff on Bartlett Dam Road. Follow the signs to the lake. Pay the parking fee and continue on to Rattlesnake Cove. Rattlesnake Cove has several covered picnic tables and a lot of parking space. The trail begins near the north side of the park near the floating dock. There is a marker at the beginning of the trail as well as several along the way.
