The Pioneer Living History Village is just 30 minutes north of downtown Phoenix.  Here you can get a feel for old-time Phoenix, as it was in the "Old West".  An entire town has been reconstructed with real buildings from that time.  Actors dressed in clothing of the era lend an authenticity bringing the town "back to life".

Follow I-17 North to Exit 225 (Pioneer Road), one mile north of Carefree Highway.  Turn to the left once you've exited the freeway.  Pioneer is on the west side of the road.  You can't miss the famous 1800's Chapel.
